Katarina Sjåfjell is a composer and guitarist from Norway. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Music for Motion Picture and Contemporary Media from the Film Scoring Academy of Europe, where she graduated with first class honors. Her mentors include Andy Hill, Jack Wall, and Alastair King, with whom she worked closely on her master’s project.

With 19 professional recording sessions to her name, ranging from solo instruments to full symphony orchestra, Katarina has extensive experience across the complete scoring workflow, from composition, orchestration, music preparation, score supervision, and conducting, to post-production processes including mixing and music editing.

She has scored multiple short films, collaborating closely with directors to support narrative and emotional storytelling, emphasizing memorable themes that evolve with the character and story.
